Lionel’s pace was slow and light as he pushed past the thick canopy of trees. The wind ruffled his messy, shaggy fur, blinking in the evening light. Some of the street lamps from the town square were visible from the forest, and he turned around for a moment to look back at the cobblestoned square before continuing in.
